NASPGN and the CDHNF are pleased to announce two young investigator
grants for 1999.
"The Nestle Nutrition Research Grant for New Investigators" sponsored by
Nestle USA and NASPGN through a grant to CDHNF.
This is a new grant made possible by a generous donation to CDHNF by Nestle Nutrition
Division. The intent of this grant is to promote and encourage young investigators with an
interest in nutrition in infancy, childhood, or adolescence. It is hoped that this grant
will encourage more nutrition research and a greater interest in nutrition. The grant is
for $30,000 (US) per year for two years (total $60,000) and will be presented at the
NASPGN business luncheon during the annual meeting October 23 in Denver, Colorado. To be
eligible for this grant, the applicant must be an M.D. and/or Ph.D. who is a full member
in good standing of NASPGN, have completed training within the past five years, and hold a
full-time faculty position in an academic institution within the United States or Canada.
The CDHNF Grants Committee (all members are also members of NASPGN) will judge
applications based on scientific merit and the preparation of the candidate for the
proposed research. Applications are due on or before September 15, 1999; forms can be
obtained from CDHNF at the address below.
